About Us
The Serpell Tennis Club is a volunteer run, tennis club servicing the local community through the provision of tennis facilities, coaching, competition and programs for all members.
A not for profit organisation we offer an inclusive environment for all members of the local community. Our 200 members come from varied cultural and ethnic backgrounds; span the full age spectrum and represent the very beginner to the highly skilled tennis competency. We offer community tennis programs for Retirees, Mums With Babes, Schools and the local Fire Brigade.
Our club was established in 1989 and has 6 Flood Lit Tennis courts and a welcoming club house. We provide access to a qualified Coach, competition tennis for Juniors and Seniors on weekends, Mid-Week day and night tennis and social tennis on Monday mornings and Thursday evenings.
To provide such facilities and programs requires funding which we get through annual dues, night tennis fees and sales through our licenced bar. All funds are reinvested into the club to maintain top quality facilities and to finance the running of the club. Any annual surplus is accumulated to fund expensive tennis court upgrades and refurbishments.
